Enjoy these Steamboat Springs events; from winter into spring

Steamboat Springs events

It's hard to believe that a whole month of 2017 is already behind us. Around here, we are in snow and ski heaven and will be for the next few months. So, there is still time to visit and hit the slopes or the snowshoe trails throughout the valley. Whether you prefer to be inside or out, there is something to keep everyone entertained this season. Check out just a few of the upcoming Steamboat Springs events:

Winter Carnival

This 104-year tradition started yesterday and runs through Sunday, February 12. The street competitions and social gatherings offer family-friendly fun and a lot of laughs. Watch horses pulling kids on skis, toast s'mores by the community fire, take in a little snow sculpture viewing and much more. View the full schedule of events here.

Mardi Gras

The resort offers up a taste of New Orleans culture at this event, which runs from Feb. 23-28. Enjoy a cajun BBQ, parades and, of course, a big party. Learn more.

History Happy Hour

What could be better than a little history with your beer? On the first Tuesday of each month, the Tread of the Pioneers museum shares tales of Steamboat's storied past while you enjoy a few brews at Butcherknife Brewery. This event is free. See the schedule here.

Snowshoe Tours and Ski with a Naturalist

Through March 17, Yampatika is hosting snowshoe tours and Ski with a Naturalist events to help people learn more about the beautiful natural landscape in and around Steamboat Springs. See the schedule here.

Sidewalk Sale

Get to know our local merchants a little better and score a few deals along the way. The annual Sidewalk Sale will take place March 24-26 in downtown Steamboat.
