There's something so relaxing about a mountain drive, and the colors of autumn only enhance that feeling. This weekend and next will be prime viewing time for fall foliage, so add these drives near Steamboat Springs to your list.
Buffalo Pass. This drive shows up on "best fall colors" lists each year, including this top 10 list for all of Colorado, and for good reason. It offers drives on rustic dirt roads through the golden, quaking aspens. Trailheads from the area, including the Spring Creek trail, allow hikers to immerse themselves in the color.
